Who are temporary overseas visitors?

If you are not an Australian Citizen or not a permanent resident of Australia you are considered to be a temporary overseas visitor. Temporary overseas visitors can include:

1. Tourists,
2. Business people on limited-duration visits.
3. People studying or working temporarily (eg. working visa holders)

About Photo Card

A photo card is an alternative form of photo identification for people. Being a temporary overseas visitors you always do not carry a passport with you so it's an alternative. If you don't hold any other form of the photo identification or if you would like to carry an alternative identification you may find the card useful.

The Photo Card shows your name, address, date of birth and photo. It's valid for 5 years or 10 years for eligible customers aged 18 years or over. 

Eligibility
To apply for NSW Photo Card, you must;

1. Be a NSW resident
2. Be aged 16 years or over
3. Provide acceptable proof of identity (Passport)

How to Apply

Easy apply for NSW Photo Card would be by visiting any service center with your proof of identification. Generally, they will ask for your Full Named Debit or Credit Card and Passport.
Check if all the details are correct and they will post your card after a week (Time may be varied on holidays/closures).
